Are You Ready For Another Freezer?

With weather forcecasts warning of another winter coming that could be as bad or worse than the arctic blizzard we experienced last time, horse owners should be thinking about their bedding supplies NOW, before the freeze hits us.

Last year we heard many reports of owners being unable to buy their normal bedding because of the weather. Either supplies couldn't keep up with demand, or couldn't get through the snow and ice. Or in cases of bedding like straw, desperate demand from farmers drained stocks AND pushed the price through the roof as well.

We have always recognised here at BEDMAX that making sure our customers can rely on their supply of our shavings is just as important as the quality of the product itself. We hate letting anyone down. But although the savagery of last winter pushed us to the limits, we still believe we can meet demand under any conditions, better than any other bedding supplier we know of.

This is because we are one of the very few bedding companies to have truly national capacity both in production and supply. We run three production plants strategically located in Northumberland, Nottinghamshire and Hampshire, and we have a genuinely nationwide network of suppliers from the Orkneys to Penzance.

It may be that an even more severe winter will test us again, but we have been sourcing timber and making BEDMAX flat out throughout the summer so we're as ready as we can be, and we'll go on running our three plants flat out, seven days a week, to keep your horses bedded in the dust free, high quality, large flake BEDMAX shavings that safeguards their health and welfare whatever the weather is doing outside the stable door.

But if you really want to be ready for the winter, we recommend you join the wise virgins and be prepared for the worst weather that Britain has seen since... well, last year anyway.
